Electrical machines

The Electrotechnical Institute of the TU Dresden maintains a collection of electrical machines in the Görgesbau that belongs to the historical cultural assets of the Free State of Saxony.

Naturally, such old machines can often no longer be opened and disassembled. In order to be able to show interested visitors the inner workings of some of the exhibits and explain how they function, we have designed and produced three videos in collaboration with the Chair of Electrical Machines and Drives.

The clips can be called up via QR codes on the model with a smartphone and explain step by step the structure and functional principle of the respective model in front of which the visitor is standing, which allows a direct comparison of the film with the real device.
