Wave optics – animations for a School-DVD

On behalf of the Institut für Film und Bild in Wissenschaft und Unterricht (FWU) there was created a so-called central-curricular teaching material for physics in form of an educational dvd. In collaboration with the Medienzentrum TU Dresden for the field of wave optics we have created all 3D and 2D animations for the educational impart of optical phenomena, effects and rules. The educational material illustrates these physical phenomena and experiments around the topic of wave optics. So with the support of our animation clips these things are more easily explained as with expensive real experiments. Amongst other things the Huygens–Fresnel principle, the double-slit experiment, the emergence of a rainbow or the formation of interference and refraction of light are explained.
